Katren JSC Won in Two Nominations of the Corporate Charity Leaders 2016 Award
Katren Charity Fund became the laureate of a prestigious award in the field of charity – Corporate Charity Leaders 2016 Award – in the nomination of “Best Programme Implemented in Partnership with Other Business” with its Healthy Family programme.
Katren Fund also received a special prize from the organizers in the nomination of “Conception and Strategy of Corporate Charity.” The award ceremony took place on November 29, 2016, in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
The contest of best corporate charity projects – Corporate Charity Leaders Contest – was organized collaboratively by Vedomosti newspaper, PWC and the Donors Forum, and it is held annually. The declared objective of the project is to identify best charity programmes of the companies and spread the information about them for drawing public attention. Project assessment consists of two parts: study of the corporate charity and of the charity programmes contest. Following the study results, experts make the rating of the companies. The winners of the charity programmes contest are selected by the project partners.
In 2016, the rating included 60 companies, which presented their charity programmes and strategies at the contest. The Jury marked the unique Healthy Family project of Katren Fund in the special nominated category. Within the project framework, the fund provides adoptive families with VMI (voluntary health insurance) policies, which allow to improve medical maintenance for adopted children.
A special prize from the organizers of the award for the conception and strategy of corporate charity became the long-awaited and highly-valued award for the employees of Katren Charity Fund. According to Katren Charity Fund director Inna Prokhorova, this award proved the community's recognition of the efforts made by the Fund's employees, who have been working on improvement of the adoptive family institution in Russia for many years. “Katren Fund has participated in the contest since 2011,” Inna Prokhorova comments on the award. "Every year, we enter the TOP-5 rating list, and in 2014 the Fund claimed first place in the rating. Under the conditions of the award, the winner of the year skips the next awarding but acts as the Charity Ambassador in Russia throughout the year. During this year, we have made enhancements in the work of our fund and launched several interesting projects." Among them is the winner-project of this year – Healthy Family. The recognition by the charity community opens for us a completely new level. We are very proud of this award."
