According to the Russian rating E-Commerce Index TOP-100, online service Apteka.ru ranked 10th among Russian online stores in terms of the number of orders (+4 points to the first six months Y2015 results) and 33rd—in terms of goods turnover (+1 point to the results of the same period). Apteka.ru is the only company competing in the TOP-100 rating “Cosmetics, perfumes, health care” category that demonstrated an improvement of its performance indicators.

The rating agency reported that based on the 2015 year-end results, Apteka.ru’s volume of sales amounted to 2,770 million rubles and the number of orders—to 1,870 thousand units. The number of orders increased 1.9 times to 1,230 thousand 2H2015 vs 1H2015. As of the end of 2015, an average cost of a filled order was estimated at 1,500 rubles, including VAT.

The E-Commerce Index TOP-100 rating is calculated biannually. To assess the performance of online stores, the rating agency monitors the number of orders and web site traffic; studies the data indicated in the financial reports and other information submitted by the contestants; analyzes website user activity and ISP's indicators. Experts also assess average indicators (conversion, an average check, the share of actually filled orders) for each product category. The stores shortlisted for participation in the TOP-100 showed a cumulative sales volume of 220 billion rubles. That is 58% of the total number of orders placed with online stores last year.

The state portal Apteka.ru was developed in 2012 by Katren JSC as a tool that allows to search for and order medicinal products and pharmacy goods online. Apteka.ru stands apart from a traditional online store: when ordering a product, the user selects one of 13.5 thousand available partner pharmacies as the pickup point. This scheme fully complies with the legislation of the Russian Federation governing the distribution of medicinal products and drugs.
