Katren JSC wins the award of the national rating "Russian Logistics Operator - 2015"
Katren, the largest pharmaceutical supplier in Russia, has topped the rating “Russian Logistics Operator – 2015” in the category “National Supply Chain Operator in the Pharmaceutical Industry.”
The national rating “Russian Logistics Operator”, which has been held by the Eurasian Logistics Association (EALA) for several years, is designed to encourage companies to improve their business processes and facilitates the development of the Russian logistics market. The work of the companies that take part in the rating are evaluated according to a methodology based on the best EU-practices of compiling equivalent ratings. EALA experts highly praised the level of competence of Katren’s employees, its technical and technological equipment, its vast network of branches in Russia, as well as its reputation and visibility in the market.
“Katren took part in the EALA ranking for the first time, and we appreciate the recognition of our logistics system,” said Veronika Galyamova, Executive Director of JSC Katren in Khimki. “The pharmaceutical distribution market is a complicated and demanding sphere. Katren is consistently improving its logistical business processes drawing on Good Distribution Practice (GDP) principles.”
Katren JSC is the largest pharmaceutical distributor in Russia and is part of the OJSC Katren Group. The total area of its warehouse complexes comprises 121,500 square metres. In 2015 JSC Katren’s trade turnover totalled 203 billion roubles, and it held 18.4% of the market share of the direct supply of pharmaceuticals. JSC Katren works with 701 suppliers and has 23 branches throughout Russia. Katren supplies to 44,235 end-delivery points.
