About the Study

In 2015, analyst firm Battersea Power Marketing compiled the "Ranking of the most influential entities on the Russian pharmaceutical market", an annual independent opinion survey of representatives from the medical and pharmaceutical industries, for the first time. Its goal was to determine individual entities’ level of influence on the Russian pharmaceutical market in 2015. Assistance in verifying the vote count was provided by international auditing and consulting company KPMG. As is customary, experts identified the five most influential entities on the pharmaceutical market in the following nominations: "Local manufacturing pharmaceutical companies", "Foreign manufacturing pharmaceutical companies", "Distribution companies", "Pharmacy chains", "Entrepreneurs and managers of commercial structures," "State/public figures, scientists", "Professional non-profit organisations/associations", "Websites", "Specialised periodical pharmaceutical publications" and "Most popular drugs". Based on the results of the survey, the last nomination was divided into two sub-categories: "Most popular prescription drug" and "Most popular non-prescription drug".
