VCIOM: Apteka.ru is the most popular choice among Russians for ordering vitamins, personal hygiene products, food supplements and healthy foods
The Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) has monitored on-line purchases of personal hygiene products, vitamins, healthy foods and food supplements during the current pandemic.
In the course of the study, which was conducted between 20 and 27 April 2020, 1,105 residents of Russia aged between 18 and 60 were polled in cities with populations of over 100,000.
Overall, the study showed that the majority of respondents consider that prices over the Internet are lower and the product range is wider. One in two Russians have bought vitamins from an on-line shop at least once in the last year, and 39% have bought food supplements on-line.
In answer to the question: “Which on-line shop do you visit most often for the purpose of ordering vitamins, personal hygiene products, food supplements and healthy foods?” 39% of respondents named Apteka.ru. Apteka.ru was also the most popular answer - chosen by 50% of respondents - to the question about the best site for ordering vitamins.
The service has established itself as one of the top three sites for ordering goods in the food supplements, personal hygiene products, cosmetics and sports nutrition categories.
